That is the thing about valve, they always put their quality first, that is why everyone loves their games, and hate the time it takes them to make them! O_O

Gaming has definitely gotten worse!

Devs are being all half-arsed bout it! Churning out games to bolster their revenues.. one after the other.. like EA Sports and CoD.. Especially these days with next-gen gaming systems when games can be released unfinished.. make the public pay £40 to be alpha testers.. dont give a shit about complaints and attempt to 'fix' the game in patches.. pure laziness.. I detest them.. there are very VERY few good publishers left out there.. like polyphony.. Konami.. Ubisoft (although Ubisoft slacked hard on ACIII and FCIII)
