Yo, finally I can now get high speed broadband. Will look around obviously but can any one recommend a company. I am with Plusnet atm which would be the simple option atm.

Fuck it, staying with plusnet, were cheapest out of BT and sky. Well Sky wanted more money for less speed  PDT_Armataz_01_19

Who is that with? Yeah I could have gone that route but I got greedy and got up to 80MB lol

Think I will benefit more form upload speeds over download. My current 600kb was useless for youtube and well most things alike, think it is estimated at 21MB up, can't remember without looking.

Awesome Till! This is good news.

Virgin would have got my vote, not the cheapest but been with them for years now and never had a problem. Getting around 100Mbps down and 6mbps up.

I dont know what its like down in the big smoke but up here in civilisation,

virgin has always been a bit crap on the TV side of things at least,  infact if they cost the same i cant imagine anyone would choose virgin tv over sky .But as for BB it does what it says on the tin.

Virgin tv is balls, agree there, parents have sky for that purpose.

Given that I do not have TV I have one less thing to worry about. EE is my provider, getting 38Mbps, I could have gone for 72 but I'm not willing to pay the price. Plus given that girlfriend has mobile with them we get £5 discount on broadband bill monthly

Remember, they're all essentially selling exactly the same product - BT fibre. Plusnet (who are actually owned by BT), Sky (unless it's an LLU-ed old Easynet exchange), Tesco, everyone is just reselling BT. So the service is the same.

Virgin Media are the exception, if you are in a cable area.

CS.

PS In the real world I'm on the board of a telecoms company, so trust me on this. :-)

Yeah was aware about plusnet being owned by bt. Their customer service is pretty good but something I am pissed off about is they have taken my money for the hub but not even dispatched it. In my book don't take my money till you have sent it grrrr

LOLs made home move with EE (recently undergoing sell to BT, this was challenged by Virgin and Sky, with no luck...).
They disconnected my address earlier, telling me that new address got connected.
We moved on Friday, and just now on Saturday afternoon I had chance to check it to discover that internet is not connected. Spoken to 3 different reps giving me different stories, till last one was actually capable to do something about it. I "should" get connected by Tuesday midnight.
Well lets see about it. At least she gave me 1 month for free...
