Something I have never been able to answer myself. I have always had AMD up to my latest build.

I only avoided Intel due to price but I put a lot of money on table for latest. AMD have always served me well and my intel is serving me well now. I spent £400+ I think on this one and I feel it wasn't wasted.

I would let your budget decide   PDT_Armataz_01_14

Same as Till, I always had AMD no Intel. Also I think that AMD and ATI cards, since AMD now owns ATI, seems to work far better then few years back

i have always had AMD too. my machine is more than capable of doing the things i ask of it, so why plump for a more expensive CPU. Unless your doing something that's massively CPU intensive its really not gonna make much of a difference. I have a Phenom II 1090T X6 3.2Ghz @4Ghz. I downclock from 4.2Ghz in the summer as my passive watercooling struggles at those voltages (1.545v)

However to answer your question smudgie Intel produce CPU`s that are better for straight up horsepower. just costs a little more...sometime ALOT more.

When i shut my mouth and walk away, it doesn't mean you've won, it means your stupid ass isnt worth any more of my time! VV
